
Mariam Nakani (born November 8, 1982) is a pioneer of commercial and fine art photography in Georgia, Creative Director, Lecturer, and Visual Artist with over two decades of professional experience. Inspired early in life by her architect grandfather who gifted her first camera, and trained in classical ballet, fine arts, and theatrical scenography, Mariam seamlessly blends aesthetic movement, set construction, and storytelling into commercial campaigns and gallery-standard portraiture. She was a pioneer in commercial shooting in Georgia, creating massive campaigns in the early 2000s that decorated the very first advertising billboards in Tbilisi.
Co-founder of the renowned Nakani Mamasakhlisi Photography School & Duo alongside her husband and technical anchor, photographer/architect Giorgi Mamasakhlisi, Mariam has mentored over 1300 successful course graduates. She is an international TEDx and Spotlight speaker, Behance award winner, and has been featured in major press interviews including Forbes Woman Georgia and Entrepreneur Georgia.
